Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 ounces each, skin-on or skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced (plus extra wedges for serving)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or dill chopped
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup for a touch of sweetness
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon smoked paprika for extra depth

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with olive oil.
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  3. Place fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down if applicable.
  4. Brush each fillet with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
  5. Spread minced garlic over the salmon and top with lemon slices. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on thickness, until salmon flakes easily with a fork but remains moist in the center.
  7. Remove from oven, sprinkle with parsley or dill, and serve with lemon wedges.
